Desert Flower Ministries exists to glorify God by encouraging women to thrive in this life instead of merely surviving through the power of God's Word daily into their lives. We desire to equip women with the tools to study and apply God's Word.

Ps 63:1-5

A psalm of David. When he was in the Desert of Judah.

O God, you are my God,
earnestly I seek you;
my soul thirsts for you,
my body longs for you,
in a dry and weary land
where there is no water.

I have seen you in the sanctuary
and beheld your power and your glory.

Because your love is better than life,
my lips will glorify you.

I will praise you as long as I live,
and in your name I will lift up my hands.

My soul will be satisfied as with the richest of foods;
with singing lips my mouth will praise you.

By God's power and only as it is in accordance with His holy will, Desert Flower Ministries commits to:

Seek God's Kingdom first and His righteousness trusting that all things below will be added unto us if they be in His will. (Matthew 6:33)
Commit personally to hunger and thirst for God daily by:
- Delighting day and night in His Word (Psalm 1, Matthew 4:4)
- Denying self and taking up our cross and following Jesus Christ who is the Word made flesh (Luke 9:23, John 1)
- Confessing sin and be willing to be disciplined by God knowing that this is a sign of sonship (Hebrews 12:5-13)
- Loving those around us as this is the sign that we are followers of Jesus and this because He set the example by loving us first and giving Himself as our ransom(John 13:34-35, 1 Corinthians 13, Ephesians 4:2,1 Peter 1:22)
- Striving to run this race of the Christian life with endurance the race marked out for us with joy following the example of Jesus Christ by grace (Hebrews 12:1-4)
See our families as the place God has chosen to display His picture of the covenant relationship between Himself and His Church. Thus, we commit to see our families as our primary ministry, overflowing out of the passionate relationship we are cultivating daily personally with God (Ephesians 5:15-33).
Invest in a local church body knowing that God's Word urges us not to forsake the assembly of ourselves together (Hebrews 10:24-25) and understanding we are a body under the headship of Christ working together to bring the most glory to God (1 Corinthians 12:12-27).
Pray desperately to the Lord of the Harvest to send workers and to guide every moment we exist (Matthew 9:37-38, Philippians 4:6-7).

To accomplish our vision within the scope of our values, Desert Flower Ministries will utilize the following strategies as the Lord provides the means within His timing.

Create resources that glorify God by focusing women on His Word as the true satisfaction for their souls (Psalm 63:5).
Nurture Biblical mentorship between women of all measures of grace (Romans 12:5-6) as is encouraged and outlined in Titus 2:3-5, by creating curriculum that is centered on the Bible yet allows women of all ages and maturities in the faith to meet together.
Offer real instruction for those who are intimidated or are new to the studying the Bible by short, simple online classes (2 Timothy 3:16, Nehemiah 8, Romans 15:4).
Foster community to ladies through the DFM website (Hebrews 10:24).
Bring women together to fellowship and encourage one another through retreats and events (Proverbs 27:17).
Share all that we have through our time, talents, and money with those partnerships that God chooses, giving faithfully first to our local churches our tithe and then offerings (Genesis 14:20, Deuteronomy 14:22-29, Malachi 3:7-12, Philippians 2:17, Matthew 25:14-29).
Gather a group of women who are passionate, committed, gifted, and disciplined (by God) whose desire is to strengthen their sisters (Luke 22:31-32).
